We got a lot accomplished today. We got most of our paperwork done and our physicals are now behind us. Just like I expected, I have strep throat. I got some medicine and should be fine in a few days. Maggie is now home and is also fine. The kids had a good night at the Trotter's house and are just as sweet as ever. Jeremy is at Cumberland Camp tonight visiting with some of our young people. I am about to get the kids a bath and off to bed. I have another early morning and another long day at work. I also forgot to mention that we got our papers to go to the Immigration office to get our second set of fingerprints made. Our appointment is Saturday at 8AM. I have posted just some random pictures from the past few weeks. 

Our day off today has turned quite busy. We will be leaving in a hour or so and will be going to our adoption agency to fill out some paperwork. The paperwork from our agency in Michigan is kinda tricky and it has to done perfectly because it goes to Korea. So, a social worker is going to help us fill it out. We are then going to get our police clearance form from our local county .We then are both going to get our physicals today. I am not looking forward to that. My throat has been hurting the past few days and I think I might have a sinus infection, so at least I do not have to make an extra trip to the doctorWe will then go get the kids and then get Maggie. Poor Maggie, yesterday Jeremy took her to get her shots and left her there to be boarded. Well, about an hour after her shots the vet called us and said that they think Maggie had an allergic reaction to the shots. She was pacing and her fever spiked real high and her tongue was turning blue. They gave her some Benadryl and some fluids to bring her fever down. She was doing better but they said she was still pacing and seemed to be very nervous. They also said she was breathing heavy. I told them she always breaths heavy and of course the issue of her weight came up. Those of you who have seen Maggie know she is a bit over weight. The vet called back at about 5 pm to say that she was doing better but the gave her a sedative to calm her down. They said every time they take her out to go the bathroom she wants to get into every ones car. I think she is just nervous thinking we have left her. She is a homebody. Poor dog she thinks she is a person.

 Jeremy also had quite an adventure with Emma yesterday. Remember I told you that she was into Everything, well she has this bad habit of reaching up on tables, cabinets, and whatever else and grabs whatever she can. Well, she was in my bathroom and got a hold of my bright pink nail polish. Jeremy walks into our room and there is Emma with the top off (she some how unscrewed it) and is painting the bottle. Jeremy looks down and there are about three drops of nail polish on the carpet. Samuel says, "Daddy that's blood." Jeremy realizes that it could have been worse, she could of dumped the whole bottle on the floor. So, he then gets some cleaner and a rag and as he is wiping it up the three drops quickly become a big pink square on the carpet. He worked on it for a while, but I think we will need to work on it some more when we get home. I am telling you she is a mess. 

It is hard to believe that Jeremy and I were married 8 years ago today! If you do not mind I would like to brag on my husband for a minute. He is a great husband and father. I am very thankful for him. It is amazing, but I think we grew closer as husband and wife during the years of my cancer and the year we were in the process of Sam's adoption. I am blessed that he stood beside me during the most difficult two years of my life. He continued to love me during my horrible mood swings and he still thought I was pretty after gaining 30 pounds. During those years I lost sight of who I was but he still saw me as the woman he married. I am also very thankful for his openness to adopt. I have heard of so many couples where the husband is very hesitant to adopt or choses that he does not want adopted kids. I am also proud of how hard he has worked the past year to finish up his classes do he could be hired by Metro Public Schools. Last summer when he decided to try to finish up I thought it would not happen, but he was diligent and finished. I am very blessed to have a great husband.

We had a good weekend. I had to work Saturday, but Jeremy took the kids swimming at a friends house and of course they had a blast. We also bought the kids an inflatable pool set that they played in Saturday afternoon. You can see in the pictures that they had a good time. The pool has this palm tree that you hook the water hose up to and it sprays water from the top, Emma loved it. I thought she would get mad about the water spraying her in the face, but she thought it was funny. We bought the pool to keep Jeremy from going crazy this summer on the days he is home with the kids. They would play out there all day. 

Emma finally wore the dress that she was going to wear for Easter. On Easter it was too cold and the dress was still a little big. She would not look at the camera long enough for me to get a good picture but I posted a picture of her in the dress. She looked like a little princess. Samuel also got a haircut last night. He needed on really bad. His hair is so thick and the blackness just makes his little head so hot in the summer. He did such a great job. I told him he had to get his hair cut before we went to the beach. 

Well, we have a busy busy week ahead of us. As you can see I am writing this at 6:20 this morning. I am actually ready and about to head to work. Jeremy has a million things on his "to do" list. He is taking Maggie to get her shots and we are actually boarding her tonight. Jeremy and I are going away tonight for our Anniversary, which is tomorrow. He also has to take Emma to get a shot. I got a call from her doctor last week saying she was missing a shot. They are filling out medical forms for Sam and Emma for the adoption and said she needed another shot. I was very frustrated because she was just in there a few weeks ago for her 18 month checkup. The doctor did say they would not charge me for the visit. On Saturday we got some more paperwork to fill out from our agency in Michigan and I am beginning to feel a little overwhelmed. I thought the paperwork would be easier this time but paperwork that you usually have several months to fill out we need to get it done by next week. We are planning on having everything done by the end of the week. Well, the kids are starting to wake up so I am going to see if I can get them back to sleep. I also need to get to work.
